Today we took the train to Santa Fe.  Santa Fe is a very interesting town -- lots of art, architecture & street vendors.  We went to the Loretto Chapel which has a staircase with no visible means of support.  We also went to St Francis which is huge with lots of stained glass.  There is a plaza in the center of town.  The Indian vendors are lined up along the street selling  lots of beautiful, handmade (not to mention expensive) turquoise, gold, silver & brass jewelry, pottery, rugs, etc.  Mary Lee and I did not take jackets with us this morning.  It was colder and breezier than we thought it would be.  We HAD to buy something to keep us warm:~).  Had a delicious authentic Mexican lunch -- I know we are eating a
lot, so I won't mention the ice cream we had later.  On the road again tomorrow.  We don't know where we will stop.
