An addition to Sunday.  Main St in Tucumcari is the historic Rt 66.  We decided to drive into town to see if the restored neon lights were lit.  They were.  It was very retro.  We'll post pics when we get our issues resolved with Mary Lee's camera.

Today we drove from Tucumcari to Santa Rosa, NM.  There we stopped at a car museum.  I found my "old" car.  It is a 1949 Woody.  It was totally restored and perfect. Well except for the $95,000 the guy was selling it for.  Mary Lee loves old church buildings.  We found one in Santa Rosa that had beautiful stained glass windows.  We also found the ruins of the original church.  Pics to follow

We left Santa Rosa and drove on to Albuquerque.  Once we got settled into our campground at Bernalillo, we drove into Albuquerque to have dinner.  One of our to-do items is to eat at restaurants that have been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.  Tonight we ate at the Standard Diner.  It was once a gas station on Rt 66.  Here are a few pics that Ken took with his phone.  That's meatloaf that Mary Lee has.  David had steak, Ken had chicken-fried steak & I had a chicken/cob salad.  Everything was delicious.  So far we've eaten at three triple-D's and all have been excellent.  Tomorrow we plan to explore Albuquerque.
